It's the end of November, and we are in full-holiday swing! Prepping groceries, menus, guests, travel plans, and all the wonderful.... and tiring.... festivities.
But, has anyone else felt a bit burnt out lately? It just seems like the end of the year crept up on us and is swiftly passing by. I don't know about you, but in seasons of burn out like this, I start to feel distant from God. That alone lets the door open for every ounce of anxiety waiting to pounce on me.
YET. God, in all his infinite knowledge and power, has already given us the resources we need to access his rest and peace. And all it takes to obtain it is 15 minutes!

Hey friend.
What a week it's been! Am I right?
Coming down off the election in the U.S. definitely felt like getting off of a roller coaster of anxiety.
But, this got me thinking: What am I so anxious about?
I could have selected all the reasons that seemed obvious, but none of those were exactly hitting the nail on the head (so to speak.)
So what could be causing me anxiety, really?
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God,"
Philippians 4:6
Reading this verse reminds me that I get to decide whether to be anxious or not.
Which means, the reason I was anxious was because someone else was making the decisions! (mic drop!)
So today's episode is a break down of what this all really means.

Hey You.
Zoom out for a minute. Take a look at your life. What do you see?
Do you see joy? Do you see pain? Do you see goodness or struggle? Is it a mix of both?
What if I told you that most of what we go through in life is generated by our own words? (gasp!)
Here, I'll share a scripture to prove it:
"Life and death are in the power of the tongue. And they that love it, will eat the fruit thereof."
Proverbs 18:21
Remember when I asked you to take a look at your life? How much of it did you see come from your words?
How many things do you think manifested in your life just by what you said?
The important thing to note here about this verse is that both life and death are in the power of the words we speak.
Which means, once again, we can choose which one we want to be in our life!
And if you're life looks a little more dismal that you intended and you want to change it, then may I suggest the first step: changing your language.
Sometimes we don't know the right words to say or where to begin. God's word is full of life-giving vocabulary that is more than fitting for you. Feel free to do like my 5 year old does to me, and play "copy-cat" with God! He loves this game! (probably a little bit more than me. :)

Hey girly. Are you struggling to maintain positive thinking in this crazy world? In between the U.S. election, the wars, diseases, recalls, hurricanes, and struggles all over the globe, being able to have joyful thoughts is next to impossible. I know how difficult it is to not let the chaos on the outside, become the chaos on the inside, and I'm here to help you find your way out through faith!
In today's episode, I share 3 steps that you can use to break the cycle of anxiety, maintain awareness without anxiousness, and release negative energy. God never designed for us to be consumed by the cares of this world. Cast them on Him today, and get your mind, your peace, and your joy back.

Listen friend. I am aware of the USA election coming up. I know there are wars upon wars, devastating storms, and destruction in every corner of the earth. BUT. There is another war raging right now, that can't be seen, and it's happening in so many of us: ANXIETY.
This podcast is all about how to win the war against anxiety in our minds and bodies through faith. While it seems crazy to shift focus from all of that, AND tell you to hope for the future, I have to do it. I would rather be CRAZY for believing God, than wise for not. Do you struggle with never reaching the end of your to-do list? Does it always feel like you are hurrying to get the next thing done? Have you wondered if it will ever stop?
As someone who wears a lot of hats, I know how easy it is to swept away by all the to-do’s. It is so satisfying to see those objectives move to the “to-done” list. But what isn’t satisfying is the overwhelm, the pressure, and the stress to get all of those boxes checked.
Usually, when we have spent all of our energy doing all of the things, we are left weary and burdened. That’s not fun. But even as I write this, I believe God is calling us to slow down and be present, not just in the moment, but also with Him.
He wants to be the ones to carry the weight of our world on his shoulders. And as you’ll see today, the best place to lay down our struggles and efforts, is at His feet.
May your mind be at ease as you listen. Perhaps today, we can start a new trend. Instead of “busy-moms,” we can be “chill moms.” God loves you and so do I!

Have you ever found yourself panicking, stressing, and getting so exhausted and fatigued over absolutely nothing?
Those panic attacks, which I call “mind thunderstorms,” are brutal. They are most often hidden within us, not shown outwardly, but inwardly, a tornado is happening. Adrenaline and cortisol are running on a rampage through our bodies, sending us into a panic, and away from peace.
Friend, today I want to share with you my story on how I stopped having panic attacks, and a three step method I have learned and applied to prevent them.
